Acted as legal counsel within the Court´s legal department. In charge of preparing legal memorandums, opinions and research on topics of general International Public Law and Human Rights. Prepared draft opinions in cases before the Court. Worked within a legal team and handled the various aspects of legal proceedings filed before the Court, including hearings and provisional measures. Also assisted the Secretariat in the preparation of legal documents and research for the President of the Court related to international law.

Visiting researcher with fellowship awarded by Professor Dr. Armin von Bogdandy. Prepared legal articles for publication in the ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law, the Revista del Colegio de Abogados y Notarios, the Max Planck Encyclopedia of Public International Law and Opus Magna Constitucional. Delivered lectures on the Law of Central American Integration at the Institute directed at Professors and Researchers.

Provided legal counsel and advice to private companies and individuals in general corporate, tax, labor, energy, IP, international investment, arbitration and constitutional matters. Handled complex litigation and arbitration. Counseled clients on both regulatory and contractual issues. Argued numerous cases before the high courts including the Appellate Courts, Supreme Court of Justice and the Constitutional Court. Drafted legal opinions and prepared specialized reports on Guatemalan law for multilateral organizations. Routinely, reviewed and drafted contracts and advised companies on how to successfully incorporate, invest and carry out their business activities in Guatemala
